Did you get to the grocery store today?  Are you thawing your turkey yet? Have the relatives started to arrive for the overnight?  Did you stock up on Ibuprofen? (tee hee)

It is rather amazing what we put ourselves through this time of year so that we can "enjoy" a Thanksgiving meal with family and friends!  Whether your family is a wonderful concoction of love and peacefulness or maybe they're like the Pecan Pie you've made for dessert - full of nuts, we hope you take some time to relax and laugh.  Some of my best holiday memories include moments of laughing at myself.  Lumpy gravy.  My turn at making the Mandarin Orange dessert - which turned into Mandarin Orange soup.  The boil in the bag mashed potatoes to which my nephew Kristofer said "I thank God for a microwave Thanksgiving!"

And yet we do it all with flare.  And style - always with style!  What's your style on Thanksgiving?  Want to know my Thanksgiving style secret?  Pants a size larger (or elastic waist).  I know, I know - fashion faux pas - but comfy and realistic?  YES!  Oversized top, expandable belt and I'm in! 

Another thing I'm thankful for?  The annual Thanksgiving Shopping Night in Ely!  It gives everyone the chance to walk off all the Tryptophans, do a little shopping, a lot of visiting, and enjoy a wonderful evening out after stuffing ourselves!  Of course Secret Sisters Boutique will be open for this annual event from 5:00 - 9:00 pm with hot coffee and goodies, loads of new gift items-clothing-jewelry-accessories, and most importantly - lots of fun and laughter.  This night kicks off our Holiday Open House which continues through Friday and Saturday!  Add in the push for Small Business Saturday (which we do appreciate) and the Northwoods Hospice Respite Partners 3rd Annual Christmas Tea/Style Show also on Saturday (2 pm at the Grand Ely Lodge) - and it will be a busy weekend!  Of course, you will find your favorite Secret Sisters models showing off some of the most fashionable and current styles available at your favorite little store!

The most wonderful thing we're thankful for this year?  YOU.  A simple thank you doesn't express just how much we appreciate your business and friendship.  Because of your business we have a wonderful, fashionable and successful store.  Because of your friendship we enjoy our store even more - you've become a part of our circle of friends that we call dear - through lots of laughter and sometimes tears - we've enjoyed getting to know you better!
