About Secret Sisters

The Sisters: Patty, Autumn & Marcia

We are always asked where we got our name. Are we really sisters?

No, we're not sisters by birth. But we're three close friends who had nicknamed ourselves "The Secret Sisters" (telling secrets like sisters do). We would often take road trips to do consignment and garage sale shopping.

One of the sisters had the idea that we should open up our own consignment shop and name it Secret Sisters. From that idea and with a lot of hard work and effort began a consignment clothing shop in a small rented building in the middle of Ely in 2002. That business has grown into a trendy, chic fashionable boutique in a wonderful house on a corner lot allowing for endless possibilities.

The three Sisters absolutely LOVE their boutique, which inspires their various creative passions. Here's a personal note from each:
I have LOVED being at our Boutique since its inception! I especially enjoy rearranging the shop to make it customer friendly and neat & tidy. I love clothes, fashion, antique jewelry and antiques. I've enjoyed our Boutique so much that two Nevada "Sisters" and I have opened up a sister boutique in Pahrump, NV (where I go in my quest for sunshine). When not at the Boutiques, I work as a Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist with a Children's Program. I also enjoy outdoor activities with my supportive husband (a Secret Brother!). I hope my fun-loving attitude and passion for our Boutique will be evident when you stop in to say hello and visit us at our unique shop.

I am thrilled to be the newest "Sister!" Becoming a boutique shop owner has been a dream of mine for years, but doing it on my own was not an option for me. Imagine my delight when these wonderful sisters invited me to join in! I have loved Secret Sisters Boutique since its inception and have always loved fashion recycling! When I'm not at the boutique, you can find me at Bare Bones Studio having fun in my other job as an Interior Design Assistant. My evenings and weekends are filled with spending time with my wonderful husband Tim and fabulous daughters Alexandra, Samantha, and Gabriella.

At the boutique we receive so many great comments from customers such as: "It's such a happy place!", "There's such good positive energy here!" and "This is the funnest store in Ely!". So, stop in and enjoy the fabulous fashions, jewelry, antiques, purses and gift items! I'll see you there!

My husband and I moved to a log cabin in the woods from Minneapolis to Ely in 2000 after going through an early "mid life crisis"! We feel blessed each day to be able to live in an area so beautiful and that was so welcoming to us. I met some wonderful Sisters who inspired me to pursue my dream of owning my own business and gave me the opportunity to start our Boutique with them. I feel fortunate to be able to be at our Boutique most days and meet and help our customers. It is so inspiring to hear new customers walk in the door and say "WOW what a beautiful shop you have!" and how they LOVE everything. I enjoy gabbing and catching up with the many repeat local customers who come in on a regular basis to check out our new items. Stop in, say hello and I'll show you all the WONDERFUL items we carry.

I promise you will NOT be disappointed.

Marcia Chambers

All of the "Sisters" believe in being an active part of the community. In the past, Autumn has been involved with Hospice and coordinated Quilts 4 Comfort, Marcia has chaired the Ely Winter Festival, and Susan has helped with the Ely ArtWalk.

Our Boutique is a member of the Ely Chamber of Commerce and we contribute to various charitable events: We are presently raising funds to donate to the Breast Cancer Foundation through contributions and selling products that support this cause. We also sponsor a team for the local "Relay for Life" walk raising funds for the fight against cancer.

Stay updated on our upcoming events, charity doings and sales by checking our site often!
